Othello With Flowers

Remember that classic game Othello? The simple half black, half white pieces that you put down on the board with the objective in mind to take over your opponents pieces by turning them into your own. That's pretty much what this game is, but with flowers! Sounds a little "pansy" but really, it's rather cute.

In this game, the entire board is covered with random clolors of flowers. They are neither yours or your opponents, yet. You must turn as many flowers as you can by looking at the best played strategy possible (or the most flowers that you can turn via counting the highlighted available options while hovering over the open flowers with your mouse). Click on the flowers you want to turn, and your claimed section turns into the color you clicked on.

Sound a little repetative? Throw in some extra options that you can "buy" with your money, which is earned by turning flowers with a bit of cash floating on it. You can randomize your opponents already claimed pieces, making it a free for all (best used when you think you are loosing). You can buy a three step head start on your opponent. You can even buy an extra life to name a few.

The graphics aren't anything spectacualr, but the game intentions make up for it. It's a good stress releaser, not a lot of thought involved, and the music is very relaxing and soothing. Personally, I wouldn't mind having just the soundtrack to fall asleep to at night. LOL! The levels seem endless, as I've only gotten to level 66 so far in Adventure mode. There's also Classic Mode and Quick Game mode.

Addictive!

This game is so relaxing to play. The graphics are beautiful, music soothing, gameplay addictive - our whole family is hooked! A good strategy and careful spending of money mean the game isn't too great a challenge in classic mode. Advanced mode requires a little more planning and agression.
