Doesn't Compare to MCF

Ah.. I had such hopes for this game when I got it. Actually, I was completely excited, thinking that I had something spooky and fun to play, in terms of hidden objects and puzzles. So I began the game, expecting a storyline. When it started immediately with "ESCAPE" I just thought... What? Where's the storyline? Why I am so desperate to get off this island? So I figured it was one of those games where the storyline pops up as the game continues. Unfortunately, by the time I hit level 25, I was getting bored. There's no storyline, which MCF usually creates for the player to draw them in... AND the game itself, ah... it's just... dull. Granted there are some twists in the game, such as needing to combine various items in order to make a complete match and finding "locks" in order to unlock other playable modes. But the items one looks for, some had confusing names ("put water in".. what? a bucket? a cup? a fishbowl?), others difficult to see and the levels or backgrounds begin to repeat themselves after while. The minigames in between consist of matching, three or more, puzzle (yes, a literal puzzle where you have to put the pieces together), and rotating puzzle (where all the pieces are there, yet you need to rotate them to make the picture line up). Yes of course, the graphics are fine, the music nicely done. But goodness, I was impatient and getting irritated near the end just waiting for the big major twist or climax. Just nothing really exciting happened and my little grey cells were not exercised at all. To be honest, if you're looking for a fun and spookalicious game, might I suggest that you just go back and play (or replay) some MCF or try Mortimer Beckett. But for those who are daring and want to try the game anyways, by all means, go ahead, but don't say I didn't warn you about the boredom you may suffer.

More than a Hidden Object game

I have just finished the demo of this game and wanted to play on. The objects are well hidden in the scenes and are not always straightforward eg: Frame the picture - meaning find a picture and put it in the frame.
The background music is spooky with howling dogs and eerie sounds.

Having just managed to find 25 locks in the hour I had unlocked the Match 3 games but the clock ran out before I could try. A very easy going game with excellent graphics.

A Good Seek and Find Game with Replay Value.

This game reminds me allot of the Mystery P.I. games by SpinTop Games. I enjoyed it. The graphics are little dark for my taste but not so much that I would bother to change the settings on my computer unless I was intending to play the entire game in one sitting. For the trial version it is fine as it is. I played in Relaxed Mode so I can't really say if it is challenging to beat the timer or not but I can say that in the list of items to be found there is at least one item that is more of a "clue" to make you think of the item to be found. These SpinTop Games are great for folks that simply want to seek and find. If you only want to seek and find this game is for you. You will not be bothered by clicking on SKIP the dialogue, SKIP talking to this person, SKIP a senseless plot, SKIP the story with misspelled words, or SKIP listening to someone talk, etc.

Once you get going in the game you only have to read your list. After you find 10 items in a location you click on the next location and find 10 more. Every few levels, give or take, you have a mini game to complete. None of the mini games are extremely difficult nor take so long that they would distract you from the main purpose of seeking and finding. I enjoyed looking for the secret hidden locks that are not on your list to unlock the bonus Unlimited Seek and Find game. The Unlimited game is great practice. You hear a little chime when you click on an object you need to find and when you are in the Unlimited game you just hear: ring, ring, ring, ring, etc. If you play the Unlimited mode all the way through a couple times or even just once and then go back to replay the regular game you will see your overall time to complete the game improve by hours! I always turn the music off on the games I download so I can't comment on it but the gameplay is great and this is a game with replay value especially if you like to improve your own scores. This is not my favorite SpinTop Game but overall I loved it.
