I'm not sold
There is nothing blatantly wrong with this game, but nothing overly awesome either. It's an average dash-style game. Gameplay is pretty simple, but it lacks the bells and whistles to make it anything to write home about. Even simple things, like chain combos or powerups, that we come to expect in games like these are missing. This also has yet another case of failure to properly localize language. I am assuming that "jeans breeches" means jean shorts. Overall not horrible, but in comparison to other similar games, it falls way short. |

Dress Up Rush
If you liked the Jane's Hotel Games, You'll like this one. I only like a certain type of time management/sim game. Not a big fan of the serving burger games, but I like these...Anyway.. Its cute and easy to pick up..but on the downside you don't seem to be working toward anything (such as bigger hotels in the previous ones) and the ending let me down a little. |

Great game
This is a great game and the woman in it reminds of Jane from Jane's Hotel. The graphics are good. Game play is a little too easy. I beat the game with only 1 hour of play. |

Weird collection of hits and misses
So it's your typical swf with her own business format. No chain bonuses but plenty of upgrades. Including several staff members who can help out with the easy tasks, which is something every swf with her own business could do with.
It doesn't do too badly at generic time management games but there are a few problems. First the translation is not perfect, still understandable but there are some obvious errors. Second though Jane day dreams about very skimpy outfits and wears somewhat decent if dull outfits but she sells some truly hideous clothes. Easy to pick off the racks (which spin in a nice added touch) but hard to agree to purchase as an upgrade since some of them are truly hideous. Third and most annoying is a bug I couldn't figure out for the life of me at first. Jane will only pick up the correct items, but she often has the option to pick up her choice of tops or shoes or whatever. When a customer asks for any pair of shoes if another customer is asking for a specific pair of shoes and you serve that customer first you cannot pick up another pair of shoes. Which leaves you clicking with no chance of picking up anything whiles your customer gets angrier and angrier before loosing. The only solution is to always serve the customers that want your choice first, which works but is still an annoying bug. A few small flaws include the inability to cheer up customers. You have coffee but you can only serve it to people who ask for it which leaves you with a line to enter your store that you can't entice to stay around. You can't click to a chair in anticipation of what your customer wants which is always a magazine to start. And you can lose despite making no mistakes if you get a weird selection of customers, which is very strange.
If Dress Up Rush 2 was released, which better clothes and no bugs then I would definitely give it a shot and consider buying it, but as it is now I have no desire to buy it. |
