I don't like... hey, waitaminnit!

Manga Dragon? You have GOT to be kidding me. Searching for the elemental stones of destiny? Umm... yeah. Any port in a storm, to be sure, just to get people to play this one.

Upon first opening this game, the immediate thought is Super Bounce Out. Round balls (pearls in this game) are moved to make groups of three to five for the sake of getting the purity and spirit back to the land of the dragons. For matches of four, there's a bomb - for matches of five, there's a 'flying pearl'. Of course, there's the black pearls that can't be moved, but can be matched with their brethren.

Normally, I would slam this game horribly for its derivative nature. Seriously, it had nothing really NEW and ingenious that kept my attention. I played, and got to the third level... and couldn't get past it the first time I tried it. The same thing happened in the fourth. Then it just kept getting harder and harder with having to get various colors to appease your draconic overlords.

What is it about proving your worthiness to get certain things? The elder dragons that you go to (that have apparently never ever heard of you, despite your grandfather sending you to get their prized possessions) are reluctant to give up their elemental pearls without some sort of hard test to follow. And then, after an especially hard level, these dragons tell you that the real challenge is beginning!

Is it possible to have Stockholm Syndrome for a game? This one held me captive, and as a result I feel a sort of sympathy for it. I can even recommend it for the challenge, but don't expect anything of the peripherals of music or graphics or story. It's all about the mechanics.
