One of the BEST games Out there! BAR NONE!

When Playing these games, the biggest problem for me, has always been Re-playability. Since, I usually beat the games rather quickly. This, is why I love Depths of Peril.

The quests are actually decent, and differ somewhat, though they do follow a pattern after a while. But the major thing about this game, is the equipment. There are really 4 MMRPG games in here. Each for every 25 levels your character gets to. So, first, Lvl 0-25, is basically learning to stretch your wings. Do the quests, get the hang of things, and then, after you realize how it works, move onto champion, which if available after you get to lvl 25. The really great thing about is that you get new equipment as your character progresses! right up until level 100! This is Where I feel this game beats out all other RPG games. I do agree that there are some improvements that can be made, like getting to equip your recruits with just a wee bit more gear, or being able to upgrade your Covent warriors/priests to plate/mail armor. However, the equipment itself is really fun too! There are sets which give you bonuses if you have either 3 pieces of the set, or all 7-8 pieces. Also, there are unique and Artifact pieces which are usually WAY better. You think you can get them all?? I've gotten lots of games on Reflexive. However this is the first one which I can say, is FULLY worth the money. So, the real question is, who will you pick? Warrior, Mage, Priest, or Rogue?

Wow! Goodness! One of the best games out there, by a long shot!

This game is so cool I mean, it has everything for a strategy RPG gamer like me!

It is based in your home town, where you can trade with other CPU players (or Covenants), go on quests, to earn EXP points to level up and get new skills and to earn more cash.

You can also trade influence, a resource in this game, which you can reduce from other players by spreading rumours and use influence to become the top faction.

Or you could just explore, kill monsters, and get better weapons. But, to increase the number of people you own, you have to do quests to earn new recruits before the other covenants.

The covenants act like real human players, they can help you with your quests, or try and complete the quest first to get the rewards. You can improve your relations, make trade routes, or just make heck for the other!

One of the best things about this game is that there is so much flexibility to this game, also, you can buy monsters to defend your base which gives you an advantage as you can then declare war on the factions, while not having to woory to defend your base.

But, if you had to choose one PC game to buy, only one,

and you choose Depths of Peril,

your a wise human.

Not a failure.

The game is based on the standard isometric action RPG, like Diablo. This game mode is spiced by many elements of real-time strategy and politics. In the game, you play as the leader of a covenant, aiding a small village in a war against evil entities. (No kudos to plot development given.)

There is up to six other covenants in game, and gameplay does not evolve around killing these. Instead, these covenants will act as normal players. Not only will they communicate with you, asking for help, trading items, and being a pain in the ass, (I had to quit one game because one covenant kept spamming me with threats) you wil even see them around in the battlefield, fighting, scavenging, and even doing your quests.
Said quests are how the storyline is driven forward, and there are plenty of side quests. These are generic; explore this area, fetch X amount of an item, kill X amount of that monster type. This allows for an almost endless amount of quest work. Which is needed, since opponents will be doing the same quests, forcing you to work fast to avoid all the credit going to someone else.

Graphically, the game is not a pearl, but it's solid, and it works, without costing much in computer power, allowing you to play this on older computers. there's some small glitches, but nothing you'll notice unless you're looking for it.

The sound is good, leaning on great. Background music and effects fit well into the game, and the only negative thing is certain event notices which seem to loop in a painful way.

The game has a real "options" menu, which allows for disabling graphic modes, full adjustment of sound, and many other functions, allowing for optimal performance on your computer.

All in all, a great game, which will allow for several hours of gameplay. And, when you've played yourself bored of a character, you still have three other classes to choose from, and a near limitless array of combat skills to choose from, allowing for great replayability.
