Sunken ruin...

So, an RTS game with an underwater theme? I thought I might as well give it a try since I'm a fan of the RTS genre and this one looked interesting. How I was wrong.

Graphics wise it attempts to be a 'cutesy' RTS, aimed at a younger audience. Now while the graphics and the unit models are 3D, they're so badly pixelated and blockey you'd wonder what outdated technology they were made with. And then when you see units attacking still after an enemy has died, and move directly through a building too...

Gameplay wise its something of an RTS lite. You've only got two resources, but they're mined so slowly your glad for the big fund your given to start with. Even then you'll find yourself building alot of gnomes (collector units) to gather it faster, as stratergy wise, there is none! Its just a spamfest where unless you have more, stronger units, you WILL die. The missions are so short and teh maps so small, you'd complete them within 5-10 minutes each if you didn't have to spend forever building troops.

Sound is neither good nore bad. Its nothing brilliant and it fits with what your expecting to hear, but it could have been a heck of alot better.

Overall, while you do have features of RTS games such as grouping and can upgrade your troops. At the end of it you wonder just whats the point?

While this could be a good game to introduce new players to the genre, it hits so wide of the mark you'd feel overwhelmed when you finally play a real, good RTS.

Its worth a download and a look if you like the genre, but if your used to your RTS games being like Command and Conquer, Age of Empires etc, avoid this game.

Not fun

Talk about binary difficulty. For the first couple of levels, the game was a cakewalk. Spend a little time gathering resources and making troops, and you'll be victorious all too easily.

A couple of levels in, the other side starts hammering you with unreasonably large contingents of unreasonably tough opponents. Each time to start to build an army, you get wiped out. And the AI is too poor for you to let your forces stand in an area offscreen while you give a set of build orders to your troop-making buildings elsewhere. When opponents get near, a couple of your guys will run to fight, and they'll all get gradually slaughtered, a few at a time.

This game is a little bit fun, at least at first, but quickly becomes a huge pain. Spend your time and money on better games, like C&C.

Not bad if it were free.

This is no Starcraft of the Sea, that's for sure. All the quality and polish are missing. That said, the general idea is good. So play it for an hour as a diversion, but if you are going to spend $20 on an RTS, save up for one of the more well known ones like Starcraft, Warcraft, CnC, etc.

Tips & Tricks for 'Deep Quest':
Login to edit this tip
There is a bug in this game which enables you to attack more times than letting it just auto attack. This may work for most of the units.
Simply choose your units and attack a specific enemy. After the 1st shot been struck by your units, just wait for a little while. Just before your units shoot again, you manually right click on your target again. For example, if it takes your units to shoot 1 shot in every 2 seconds, u can do it by having 1 shot every 1 second, this helps alot.
