A Good game

Like other reviewers mentioned, the game is similar to Sally's Spa, BUT:
I really like that, purchasing the upgrades/assistants, you can skip mini games (20 per cent possibility with an upgrade and 100 with assistant), which can be delightful when you are bored/tired with these windows that are popping up.
When I played the game I had one assistant on Costume Station (because I really don't like this mini game) and on Face Station - because after automatical serving customers there, they are ready to be checked out, they free the space for other clients; it brings some speed I guess.

The Return Bin. It's not common in games like this, but you get used to it fast.

The bad side (which always has to exists): after playing a while (like 5-10 levels) you understand the tactics and the gameplay becomes very easy. You can complete the game perfectly (master goal + empty return bin) in 2 hours or less.

Graphics: 5/5
Sound: 5/5
Gameplay: 3.5/5 (because of the easyness)
Overall:4/5

Try it! I can't guarantee you'll like it badly, but you can try, don't you? :)

I'll be the lone voice of dissent

I didn't like it. What I didn't like was all the selecting in the minigames. It's very much like Sally's Salon, as others have mentioned. You help the customer at the measuring station and drag a tape measure into place. You help a person at the dressing booth and select the costume that makes them smile.

What that means is you really can't stack commands the way you do in Diner Dash. Every time you try to get a jump on the game, you are back to trying to decide if a particular customer wants a vampire or pirate costume. I think Beach Party Craze is better at this because while six of the tasks have this minigame requirement (sandwiches, grill, bar, water, toys, and souvenirs) the other eight (new swimmers, boat rental, scuba rental, banana, cleanup, water refill, restock, and disco) don't. Airport Mania has minigames, but you play them for bonus trophies; they aren't crucial to game play and don't affect it.

I wish there were a way to turn off minigames in games like this. What I like about the time management games is the time management. Balancing the extra points you get for doing an action a certain number of times against losing points because other customers are waiting and losing patience. The minigames interfere with what I think is the attraction of the game. If I wanted to play Cube Crash, I'd download Cube Crash. I don't want to play it; it's of limited interest to me. Having to play it as part of Costume Chaos made me stop playing after 20 minutes.

By the way, Reflexive, why do we have to rate the sound? I hate sound in games and don't turn it on unless I have to (like in Duke Nukem, to hear the bad guys behind me shooting at me).

This one is enjoyable for the whole family

Submitting a rather late review for this one, but I wanted to add something the other reviewers hadn't. At the start of the game, you may select the kid or the parent version. The kid levels are a little easier because they don't have a requirement to advance through the levels. My kids are having a blast playing through the levels and they're still able to log in on my character to access all the options that I unlocked to play dress up. My daughter will play for an hour making different variations of the princess costumes :P
