A shameless centipede clone with a humourous twist

If you've played classic games from the 1980's then you'll immediately recognize this as a centipede clone. However, since this is now the 21st century and geared towards the casual gaming audience rather than the purists, you can expect a lot of twists to it from the original.

The basic objective is the same though. You are in an area crowded by obstacles and a group of hunters (instead of the individual units of a centipede) are making their way towards you and of course must be shot down before reaching the bottom. There are also some additional enemies around to increase the challenge factor such as steam rollers these really hairy dudes that zoom from the top to the bottom of the screen dropping obstacles as they go, and these frog-like creatures that jump in random patterns near the bottom of the screen just to mess you up as you clumsily walk into their path. To help you out though, you get various power-ups which will either temporarily boost you score, rate of fire, and damage or change the layout of the playing field (which can be in yours or the enemy's favour depending on the situation). I'll leave the rest for you to find out.

Graphics: Perfectly functional and very appropriate for a casual game (it'll probably appeal to children especially).

Sound: Music is nothing memorable but certainly not annoying either. SFX is kind of cool in that every enemy has their own unique sound and the few voices thrown in there are quite comical.

Gameplay: It starts of very slow, but as more and more elements are added, the game gets progressively more engaging. Just give it a chance to show you its full potential. It appears to be rather short though but the levels do get longer to complete as you progress.

Overall: If you loved the original centipede and you want something new, then this is worth giving a try (unless of course you're a purist and prefer the original). As for everyone else, I'd say give it a try too as it can be quite enjoyable.
