Ok, let me also share some thoughts on this game.

Well, above there are a lot written on the game type, so I’m not going to repeat what’s happening in the game. I’ll just point out what I like and dislike.
That’s great that instead of just ‘busting ba… oops, busting bricks’ as many games of this genre involve, you get something really new, with plenty of objects to crash and some kind of storyline. Well, storyline – it’s much better to know what’s going on around, what you are looking for, etc., but anyway, I never read such long texts, I’d suggest to shorten it a bit.
I find attractive jungle, small something that flies around and makes ‘bzzzzzzzz’, sounds are great, I really fill involved in the world! May be it’s not enough to have only trees around, cause passing around 20 levels in the jungle I was waiting for something new! However coming closer to an end of the way there appeared totally new ‘underground’ levels. That was a challenge for me to pass them, cause the whole way I was looking around trying to understand what is what. I would even say that underground part of the game captured me. I enjoyed the graphics, the colors were pretty unusual, and the atmosphere was like you are really ‘do not know where’, in the darkest part of the universe.
I liked the additional ‘missions’, such as crystals, time points and staff like that. All this ranks made me to turn back to the game once again. What would be better, imho, is to make more different power ups, especially different weapons, such as explosive balls, machine guns, etc.
Summing up, I felt I’ve went to a fairy-tale world with treasures, giants, ancient creatures, etc. I just forgot about what is happening here, on this stupid planet with its studies, serious faces all around and played for some time non-stop.
Overall, I would say I recommend the game to all, and, I’d give it 3,6 or 3,7 out of 4.

Not one I'll be worshipping at

Ok where to begin?

This is a basic breakout style game where you need to bounce a ball off your paddle (space ship) in order to clear the level and move on. There are the usual powerups that can change the ball size, paddle size, ball speed, ball power, add multiballs, guns, etc.

I thought the overall theme to this game was good - working your way through a jungle to a destination gave the game some goal to achieve, rather than just 'busting bricks' as many of this genre involve.

The addition of crystals to each level that you should hit for bonus points and to build towards extra lives is also a good addition.

Unfortunately I find that if a game has a couple of serious negatives, then that can overshadow the rest of the game. In this game it is the fact that if your ship is destroyed (by an enemy attack), then it isn't regenerated until you lose your ball. I missed out on plenty of powerups and crystals because of this. Perhaps it was designed that way on purpose, but I think it was perhaps an oversight.

The game seems not quite finished to me. Some final testing should have picked up the typos in the level text entries, and the fact that the end of game message disappears as soon as the last letters appear (and before you get a chance to read it all).

Which brings me to another point. I'm not an expert player, but it seemed a little too easy to finish the game.

Overall, I think this would be a reasonable addition to the breakout style games if some of these things were fixed.

If you haven't tried Reaxxion yet, take a look at that one first. As a breakout-style game I haven't played one better than Reaxxion (yet), though the original Ricochet Xtreme series was very good.

Take advantage of the try before you buy to see if Chak's Temple is a game you want to own.

Lost!

I can say that this is likely the worst game on this site. I think it was made in 1987 and released 20years later. Just kidding, but it seems like it was. Bad sound, terrible graphics. I wouldnt even suggest anyone to download this one. If you like breakout then get Magic Ball 3, Boom Voyage or even the poor Troll game. I'm never this rude about someones work but this game is a stinker.
