CLUE Classic

Colonel Mustard, Professor Plum, Miss Scarlet and the rest of the usual suspects have gathered together in stately Tudor Mansion to determine who killed Mr. Boddy, where the murder was committed, and how it was done. Was it Mr. Green in the Hall with the revolver? Or perhaps it was Mrs. Peacock in the ballroom with the lead pipe? With six suspects, six possible murder weapons and nine rooms in the mansion, there are hundreds of possibilities, and plenty of clues to investigate!

Great Board Game Adaptation

I burned through the trial on this game and have absolutely loved it. If you're a fan of board game adaptations this is a great one to play. It has great replay value just because of the style of game and the endless combinations. The only thing that was lacking were the game options. I would have liked an option to shorten some of the in game animations such as traveling through shortcuts. Otherwise the game is great, although I think it would truly shine if it had online multiplayer. I would buy this game in a heartbeat if it were on something like X-Box Live. But still, great work Games Cafe!

Clue Classic is a True Classic

Clue Classic is certainly a boon to anybody who enjoys the original board game version.

With all the characters and all the charm from the board game, Clue Classic is sure to be a hit.

The premise of the game is pretty straight forward, somebody committed a murder in Tudor mansion, and it's up to the players to figure out 'Whodunnit'. By taking turns rolling dice, players advance around the mansion into various rooms and make suggestions as to who they think committed the murder, where they did it, and with what weapon.

At the start of each game three cards are selected and put into the confidential envelope, these cards show who did it, where, and with what weapon. Every player also holds three cards that show either people, places, or weapons that were not involved in the crime. The players must then try to sort out who has what cards in their hands, and by process of elimination figure out what cards are in the confidential envelope.

If you are not sure how to play the board game, then this version can be slightly tricky as some of the game mechanics are not described very well, but with a little trial and error you can figure them out.

Overall, this is a great spin on the classic game and should provide hours of fun to any who enjoy a good mystery game!

very interesting but can be further improved

first, let me be honest and tell this up front: I haven't played the board game before. I downloaded the trial version and at first it was so hard to understand. but the more i got into it, the more I found myself enjoying it. I love these game genre's - it's the thrill and suspense that captivates you!

however (suspense music please!), there are 2 things that I find a bit annoying, and here they are:
1. the repetitive animation. whenever the AI players make their accusations, just SKIP the part where they select the suspect and murder weapon. just GO STRAIGHT to the montage that shows all three components
2. holding the space bar does not really make the AI and rounds go faster, well...at least not that much anyway

here's an idea for improvement - make it playable in LAN and/or online. the multi player option will definitely make it much more fun! so, mr. games developer guy/girl, I hope you're listening!

all in all, it's a very good game. and when my trial period ran out, I was hooked on it! D**N! just when things start to get interesting!
