CLUE Classic

Colonel Mustard, Professor Plum, Miss Scarlet and the rest of the usual suspects have gathered together in stately Tudor Mansion to determine who killed Mr. Boddy, where the murder was committed, and how it was done. Was it Mr. Green in the Hall with the revolver? Or perhaps it was Mrs. Peacock in the ballroom with the lead pipe? With six suspects, six possible murder weapons and nine rooms in the mansion, there are hundreds of possibilities, and plenty of clues to investigate!

Great Board Game Adaptation

I burned through the trial on this game and have absolutely loved it. If you're a fan of board game adaptations this is a great one to play. It has great replay value just because of the style of game and the endless combinations. The only thing that was lacking were the game options. I would have liked an option to shorten some of the in game animations such as traveling through shortcuts. Otherwise the game is great, although I think it would truly shine if it had online multiplayer. I would buy this game in a heartbeat if it were on something like X-Box Live. But still, great work Games Cafe!

Just like the board game... Almost.

If you're a fan of guessing games and trophies, I recommend this one... You get a trophy for solving the case as each character (which can easily be done in a three-character game), but there are several others to be won as well as different rankings of detective to achieve.

You're provided with a notebook to write down clues you've figured out (I suggest typing in short-hand, as you won't be able to view much after you press 'enter'), as well as a log of cards your opponents have shown you in case you forgot something along the way.
The introduction is lacking but it's not hard to figure out on your own; it's definitely not a game for everyone but if you like to solve mysteries then Clue is your answer (board games are hard to play alone, anyway :P)

Tips & Tricks for 'CLUE Classic':

My advice is to take notes on every players turn! Take note of what cards the other players do not have, and take note of when they show cards...
For example let's say a player makes a suggestion like "Professor Plum committed the murder in the Lounge with the Rope", and Colonel Mustard says "I have no cards to show" Make a note to yourself that Mustard does not have the Lounge, Rope, or Professor Plum card. Then let's assume that Mrs. White says "I have shown a card" Make another note to yourself that Mrs. White has at least one of these three cards (lounge, rope, Professor Plum).

By taking meticulous notes on each players turn, you can use this notes database to figure out who has what cards... and by knowing who's holding what cards, you can decipher what cards are in the confidential envelope!
Based on 4 ratings, average score is 3.5.
