Phenominal!

I can't believe the graphics in Butterfly Escape! The backgrounds are absolutely beautiful and they are in 3-D! While it is based on the Zuma and Luxor games, this one is different in that you get carried away by the vibrant colors and the cursor arrow changes to the color of the ball you are ready to throw, making it easier to watch where the ball will be going. The cute little guy that throws the balls has a personality and I could watch him do his little dance between games for a long time. The sound effects are well done and the music is not annoying at all. I own Zuma and turn off the music because I get tired of listening to it. But with Butterfly Escape, I leave the sound on. The creators of this game have done an exceptional job and deserve many, many kudos for this one! I was disappointed when the time on my demo ran out because I was not ready to stop playing. I will definitely buy this one, guys! Thanks for making one that's challenging as well as beautiful!

Butterfly Escape is a FINE specimen!!

Excellence in design is the name of the game, Butterfly Escape pulls out all the stops bringing you top-notch Marble Shooter experience with character.

I'm often skeptical when it comes to high promisses, especially when pushed forward with a flash movie preview, but I think we can all agree that BF is a highly polished experience full of satisfying moments.

It's educational, it's fun, and it's nicely done. A good smattering of powe=ups complete with heavy artillery and a protagonist who starts each round off with an authoritative clap. Butterfly escape is an excellent amalgamation of 2D and 3D where not much is hindered, and there's much amusement to be had, hours of it, I'm sure.

Two levels of difficulty, internet scoreboard play, an infectious musical score, plenty of bonuses, sub-objectives and even near-boss battles makes Butterfly Escape a must-play within this genre.

Excellent Escapism

Its true, this game has the same base gaming function as others like Luxor and Atlantis, but that’s where the similarity ends. I have played several demo versions of similar genres but this for me is the best to date, Why?. Well for one thing the 3D graphics and scenery are absolutely enchanting, with oodles of detail and charm which really take you into Buka's world. Who's Buka, well he's the adorable character who bravely and single handed does all the shooting( with a little help from us)and what a personality- whether he's shaking his maracas in celebration of a win in the classic mode, or banging his drum in Legendary mode, in his army colouring, he's a real top gun!. The music is captivating and relaxing, with occassional little military themes and sounds. It doesnt distract from play but compliments the action and stunning visual effects.

What’s extra special about this is that the power ups can be caught and used immediately or saved and selected from the bar at the base of the battle scene. Such weapons as total nuclear annihilation, cannon, gattlin’ gun, pistols, are a real change from the usual multicolour ball and fire balls alone- but these and lightning are also included.

As you work through ever increasingly difficult levels, you must beat a whirlpool/spiralling type level to free a butterfly and move to the next level, adding the liberated butterfly to your Butterfly Book- you must also catch bonus stars for extra lives- nice touch. This is one for all ages young kids and big ones like me.

The added bonus of a tournament mode is great as you can pit your skills against high scores via the internet connection, this gives yet more playability and game value. Beautifully crafted by the developers, anyone who liked Pigs of War and Worms PC/Play station games will like the guns and weapons effects as they are a little reminiscent of those games- Go on now and try it, you know you want to- I'm hooked anyway.- Mirluki
