Bumps is cool
I love this game. It is a 'pick up at will' type of game and I like that sometimes.
The graphics are excellent, and the sound effects (from the Bumps themselves) are lovely.
A real skill game as the object is to set the character up so as to bounce around and then collect the key to release the others. If unsuccessful one feels compelled to have another go as you are certain that it will work with just a little tweek this way or that.
Excellent, compelling and yet relaxing. |

Where's The Love?
I'm amazed there hasn't been any reviews for this game yet as its not half bad and I haven't played anything like it before.
I've only played the trial but the signs are there of great potential. Basically the game is very simple to learn but gets harder with every level. You need to free these creatures that look like Chuzzles and the only way to do that is by rolling your character so it rolls into the keys. This means setting your character up somewhere on the level and then just one click to get him rolling. Parts of the levels can make your character bigger and other parts can speed him up. Its all about experimentation and physics.
The graphic style is extremely similar to Patapon and LocoRoco. ( Playstation Portable games)
Is it worth a purchase? I think so but with only one game mode with 99 single? screen levels, I would have liked some more variety. The developers certainly have something with this game though and I hope they can expand on its concept as its really quite refreshingly new and addictive. At least I haven't seen anything like it before, I don't know for a fact if it really is original though or a clone of another game. I don't play as many casual games as I used to. |
