New challenges

Building on the same core as the rest of the series, this one adds a new wrinkle--building power supplies to keep the community out of the dark.

The annoying part of having to buy blueprints is gone, and now you've got power supply, buildings (like your trusty workshop and garden center), shops, entertainments and two workforces (the standard workers and the technicians) to use to meet your goals.

Awesome addition to the series!

Build-a-lot4

I can't tell you how excited I was to see this game.As soon as I saw it I bought it.I loved the other 3 in the series.I have to say though,If you thought it might be the same as the other 3 but with wind farms and solar towers you are wrong. No longer do you have to pay for the blue prints and you must make sure you have power going to all homes or you can't complete the levels. It is very challenging and well worth buying. This is the best 1 by far.Give it a try and I bet you will be hooked. :)

Modern Concept, Less Strategy

The Beginning
I LOVED the first three games of Build-a-lot. I just absolutely loved the "Flip this house" type of game. It was very creative and fun, but not too challenging. But, enough of the old games, for now at least, and on to the new Build-a-lot 4!

Modern Concept
This game is about current issues in the world concerning energy. We all need greener, cheaper energy. This game focuses a little too much on the energy concept, and not enough on the original "Flip this house" game play. The makers of this game added in some new features like having to hirer "Technicians", having to make sure that you have enough clean energy to power the neighborhood, and making things energy efficient.

Lost Strategy, Lost Concept
The Build-a-lot series has always been about flipping a house from an older, less advanced, and cheaper house, to an expensive, nice house and making a huge profit. In all of this the point of the game was to make a neighborhood go up in class so to say. You had to buy plans for buildings and houses, but in the new Build-a-lot 4 game, you don't have to pay for plans to build something. You just have to have enough material, technicians, and builders to make or upgrade something, instead of the strategy of saving money and buying a better house plan to make more money.

Overall
This game is a different game then the rest of the series, but it is still a good game. It is a newer, modern concept, and deals with newer, modern problems. This game has great graphics, the game play was different then the other games, I have no sound so I can't rate that, so overall, I would give it a 4/5.

Improve your property, add lights and then inspect your house. After you have done this then do the landscaping.Unlike the other improvements, landscaping wont cancel out your inspection.
