Apart from Elf (circa early 90's) this has to be the best side scrolling platform I've come across..

Personally I never enjoyed side scrollers, although I did play through most of 'Elf', a game from the early 90's. Other than this until the Dwarves series that is. I was impressed with this series, however after the nth expansion pack it did get a little stale. They upgraded the game to Brave Dwarves 2, with the same basic gameplay, but much improved graphics and some other extra's. Unfortunately they did the same thing with that series and released what seemed like a never ending line of expansion packs. I'd try the demo and see what you think. I've now only got one Brave Dwarves game called Brave Dwarves 2 Deluxe pack, which has about 20 story lines in it amounting to quite a lot of levels.

Actually it's not the best side scroller I've come across, I totally forgot about the likes of Gumboy Crazy Adventures, Turtix and even Wik & The Fable of Souls. Still a small dose of the dwarves is okay :)

kind of fun but then starts to get boring

well i liked the graphics of this game but i would recommend it to little kids.i think it started out fun but it gets boring after a while of playing it. just try it like me.it's not worth 20$.so if you like action games this is the game for you.
