Boom Voyage

I've played and seen probably around 30-40 different breakout games in my life starting from when i was a little kid on my Amiga Commodore...as you can imagine, things grew stale pretty fast in this genre of gameplay.

Boom Voyage rekindled my liking of these games, mostly the fact that it's a combination of so many key elements that appeal to the gameplayer.

Its menus are simple and intuitive, its very user friendly and it's one of those games that once you pick up you don't want to put it down again. Infact that's probably the only downfall i can see, you'll play it so much that it wont last too long, maybe 7-8 hours tops.
That being said, there is tremendous replay value allowing you to go back and try to beat your quickest times.

The physics system is incredibly detailed...though at times it lacks a certain solidness, not that you'll have alot of time to notice when the heavier stuff is floating down like a feather.
The whole idea of destroying actual buildings//props instead of the usual bricks//crystals as per most breakout games is very rewarding as you'll find yourself smiling deviously when you bring a castle down to its foundations or cripple a dinosaur by knocking its legs off.

The Graphics are the best i've seen in a breakout game, whilst not ground-breaking they are solid and robust and when coupled with the extraordinary physics engine they make a great team.

There are a multitude of items and powerups to collect, each one affecting the gameplay greatly, there are even baddies that'll chuck powerdowns at you like dodgy saboteurs.

This is a great game, worth every cent i paid for it.
My only wish is that it had more levels and more varying soundtracks.

Bam.. Bam!!

This is a best breakout game i ever seen! The graphics and music are beautiful, the gameplay is best ever. Levels get more and more interesting as it goes on. The particles effect of dust when everything crushes are very realistic! You gotta love the physics - it's really fun to hit some bricks and see the diferent ways of the whole structure crushing! I really love this game!

Boom Voyage

I purchased the game after playing the one hour demo. I absolutely love the graphics and sounds. Might not appeal to adrenaline junkie teens because the game play is a little slow action-wise. Not a lot of total destruction, blood and guts. A very slight negative is that the paddle is a little sluggish, even on my super fast computer so it's the game not my machine. This does not, for me, take away the appeal of the game. It's a great relaxation game with lots of great graphics. As an older gamer it fits the bill, not overwhelmingly impossible, not overly stimulating, but in my opinion addictive. Also an added note....Reflexive Arcade has proven itself to be THE most helpful, accommodating online site I've ever dealt with, fabulous customer service. A+++++++++++
