Aveyond 2, still perfect as ever!

Aveyond, what a remarkable game when it first came out. However, many Aveyond fans will be overwhelmed of another release of, Aveyond 2!

As like the prequels, Aveyond 1 and Ahriman's Prophecy. Aveyond 2 is no different, yet many has been added into the game. Firstly, and the most noticeable changes are the graphics. The weather effects have totally been upgraded, no more lame 2d like weather, and the backdrop of the entire game have been nicely done too. The audio tracks are plentiful, and many more unique sound effects have been added, thus greatly improving the game more.

But the best part of the game is still the storyline/gameplay. I was hoping that Rhen (character from Aveyond I) would have been in the game as another char, but instead it's Rhen's great great great grandson whose the main character. There are some returning characters in this game too, i found a couple of them humorous. This time there are more types of monsters, more types of spells, more monsters, more NPC and much much more to enjoy in this game.

Fans of the previous games may find that many things have change, including the timeline. The Kingdom Of Thais, which is still in this sequel comes back as the most powerful kingdom has changed a lot, including the building structures which I find it quite suitable as it is probably around 500 or more years since Aveyond 1.

I personally favor the quests and puzzles in this game which are very unique which are barely seen in other games. Aveyond 2 may not break hearts as it is still as good as the previous games, but an improved version. This game still provides many action, drama and humour to those who love the world of Aveyond. For those who just only joined in the world of Aveyond, feel free to play the prequels as it is as fun as the entire Aveyond series.

Awesome!

This game is awesome! I've never really played these types of games until Aveyond came out, but I must admit, it's very fun and addictive with hours and hours of fun.

The graphics are really nice, especially the menu page. I love the artwork.

The sounds are awesome! Although, I didn't really care for the battle music.

Dial up users beware of the long download, but its is well worth the wait!

For those who love Aveyond, you will love this one too.

Excellent!!

This game is amazing!I had never seen such a small game being so detailed!Although it takes days to complete, it's worth it.The story is great, simple and deliberate at the same time!Good music(3/5),although it's not "chromadrome 2" where you can import music from your pc(that's for you dear editors :) )
As for the gaphics, regarding the game's size, they are almost excellent(4/5)
Finally, the gameplay is really fantastic(5/5). The best i've ever tried from reflexive!!!!
You must have this game guys!

Ok there are goodies in this game same as in first Aveyond, and i strongly advise playing game once before exploiting 'em. Goodies: Weapon stash - Spire Mountains - From the place you enter observe cliff side and 3 trees above you. Inspect cliff side near the top tree. Armor stash - Woodlands - From Ryva follow the river left, fighting 2 chickens, and inspect cliff side on the lower left corner of the map. Free level up - Green Weed Plains - In the lower left corner of the map above a chest, where 2 bears walk around, inspect cliff side above the tree. Pull the lever in there to get a level up for whole party. Gold Stash - Sari desert - Again in the lower left corner of the map, when you get to the shore go down and inspect cliff side. ...click to reveal spoiler...

Talk to your mom. Go to the Elder Oak (west of the village) and talk to Iya. Search the forest for treasure chests. One contains a wooden shield, and one contains a hunting knife. Equip Ean with the wooden shield, and equip Iya with the hunting knife. Go to the beehive (east of the village) and fight the queen bee. Click on the big glob of honeycomb that the queen bee was protecting to add a chunk of it to your inventory. Go back home and give mom the honeycomb. Go to bed. Watch Iya's dream and her abduction by the Snow Queen. In the morning, go talk to mom. She won't remember Iya. Go into the village and talk to every villager. Many of them will say they don't remember Iya. Go to Iya's cottage and talk to her mom, sister, and grandma. Go search Iya’s room (you must talk to villagers first for this to work). Take the ribbon from under the floorboard in Iya's room. Go talk to the village elders. Go talk to the Elder Oak (make sure to talk to elders first). Go through the portal in the Elder Oak. It takes you to the Land of Man Take the canoe up to the snowy Spire Mountains. Go through the Spire Mountains to the snow kingdom, Shaenlir. In Shaenlir, search the houses for treasure chests. Find the one that contains Servant Clothes. Go to the castle and put on the Servant Clothes. Use the servants entrance to enter the castle. Find Iya and talk to her. Leave Iya’s room. You will see the Snow Queen talking to her general about the demise of the kingdoms and Iya. Go back to Iya and try to convince her to leave. She doesn't believe the snow queen wants to hurt her. Leave Iya's room. You must go warn the kingdoms about the Snow Queen's plans if you want to save Iya. Listen to the Snow Queen plot to kill Iya. Pick up the mirror that the Snow Queen dropped. Take the mirror to Iya. The heroes look into the mirror and see the Snow Queen turning all of the guests to ice. Iya finally believes that you aren't crazy and the Snow Queen wants to kill

some awnsers on bootlicker FOOD + USEFULL if you are afar away from a city and all your chars are defeated and cheese from rats ate the castle of the snow queen heal 100hp .... also food you found can be easly collectec againm if you leave map and directly return the other map to fight the monsters again asl o cchest items are enver useless.. if so then sell em ...click to reveal spoiler...

There is a secret goodie cave near the entrance of the Spire Mountains. You have to click around the base of the mountain to find it.

why buying items when you can fins it ? .. pick up every treasure chest item(s) amd death mosnter items ..... also need lvling quick? move to another map and directly return back so you can fight the same monsters again.. also if you find items wich you dont need ..sell.... also use the inn sleeping methode for quick healing IF your in a city and never sell food ... these are handy if your not in a town and need mp and hp ......also (yes i know allot of also,s ) talk to everyone for info or a side quest .. sidequests give gold and items i not.. then you jsut helped them.. i know a sidequest if your in a town and someone is talknig about a clockmaker which died and someone toke over town and she wants the deed... go into the house and pick up the key .. then go to the clock ... well thats all for now.....that far i got maby if i fidn more tips then i tell em

Spells

Keep using spells that make whole enemy party sleep if u recruits the white magic guy in ur party.

If its black magic guy? well hold on and wait till u get the north wind to exchange a very strong north wind spell(-2000+ hp to whole enemy party)

It doesn't matter which guide u join.because these spell are useless ...just join any one to make the game interesting.

Characters

Recruits jack later on with ur charcter all in a higher level.

he will come in with a higher level and u could concentrate training the main 4-5 characters.
With him,u can open locked chest.But to be honest items in locked are useless.
Get him only when in are near the last few level ...only items behind in chest are useful

my advice is dont ever take gavin into ur party.

Take Nico first...he can use a sleeping spell.
When u gets the north wind,takes gavin and get nico out for final battle...gavin will join with the same level around ur other characters when u recruit him.(provides that u don't recruit him once before )

be sure to married off character before finish battle for different ending.

Weapons and Items

Ice weapons like the claws will not hurt the queen for the final battle with snow queen.Be sure to change it to fire or something else before fighting her.

be sure to donate in donation box...it cost u only just 10 coins...The reward would be a sphere that enable Lya to learn the most useful spells.

Dont ever buy the cursed weapons.It just a joke.

U can laugh at it but when u equip them the one laughing are the enemy

sell the foods if u can...becoz they just heal little.

There are so useless.
Elixir can heal full hp so what are u waiting for?
Travels and sleep at inn can heal everything.
So foods=rubbish!!
