Great Game
I really love this game.
Great sound and graphics and playability.
The drifting is excellent and requires genuine skill to master.
The game has a rather steep learning curve to begin with until you learn how to control the car and slide it around corners.
Once you master the controls and memorize the tracks the game goes from great to excellent.
20 cars to purchase and 10 different tracks provide plenty of challenge.
Excellent game throughout |

Great Game. Made for SourceForge.
Now I'm a guy for open source games. This game (which I let my brother-in-law beat) reminds me of the various open source games you can download for free.
Ever since the game Death Rally for DOS, I've been into the rally racing genre (in which I refer to "rally" as the top-view racing games). If this game had such items as weapons, etc., then it would've been better. It would be worth the money.
The pros of this? You win, regardless of coming into first. You earn money which helps you earn your cars, so you can beat that one track you absolutely hate. The cons? The GUI reminds me of open source games, especially games like on Linux. Maybe that's a reason why this game could've been open source, and for free.
Good game overall, and this time, we need 3D racing games. It doesn't need to bee the next Need for Speed or the next Gran Turismo, but it needs that extra push in graphics and physics to be #1. |

Fun But Hard
This game has great graphics and sounds. Two problems though. 1. The car is extremely hard to control. I tried it with various joysticks as well as the arrow keys. Just as un-controlable with each device. 2. It only has overhead view. It needs a rear view and a cockpit view. Even though you can zoom the view it's not so good. Get too close and you can't see enough road ahead. A note file would be good to show what the F keys do. There is no comparison to Off Road Arena and Race Cars The Extreme Rally on this site. Nice try though. |

Fantastic graphics
Wow! Wow! Wow! Fantastic top notch graphic, great sound effects, and looks as real as you can buy for your PS II or any game consols. However the view is a bit too far (as in looking from the top) and the controls as in your keyboard (unless you have a joystick) is very very very difficult. But guess what? My car could be rammed into by other cars, got crashings sounds, engine sounds, beautiful real looking courses! Not sure whether I can choose the car colour or not. Your mouse is of no use here so I suppose unless you have a joystick or you're the master of the keyboard, this game is very difficult but I must admit, even if it is hard to play, the graphics can certainly hold your attention. Can't quite imagine such a quality game in terms of pure looks only can be found here! Give it a try. |

Fantasic Racer
Now this is more like it.
A quality game throughout.
The graphics and sound are amazing but the icing on the cake are the car physics.
Once you get the drifting of the cars down it's great fun sliding around corners, picking up bonuses and overtaking.
Ducking into the pitstops when you take too much damage and then boosting out again, all great fun.
The instructions / help file to the game is in the folder the game was installed too. Looks like reflexive forgot to put a link to it in the start menu. Theres lots of useful hints from the author there.
A FANTASIC GAME in all areas.
About time we had a decent racer on reflexive. |
