A Very Good Game!
Armada Tanks is a cross between Alien Shooter and Tank-o-Box. There are two types of gameplay, Mouse-Only and WASD+Mouse. I suggest you choose the latter, and if you're not used to this kind of gameplay, chances are you won't like this game.
Armada Tanks offers the usual "cash for upgrades" feature, making the game much more addictive as you try to make your tank the ultimate lethal weapon. However, most of the bonus weapons were a bit of a disappointment, as I expected something much cooler for the price I paid.
Overall, this is a very good game. It's definitely worth its money, even if it is rather short and linear. But I would expect nothing more from an arcade shoot'em up! :) |

Very fine game
I don't play the space shoot-em-ups as I get nervewrackingly overwhelmed by the masses of enemies. So this shooter is much more to my liking. If you're a bit fumble-fingered like me, then do try this game.
Music - nice
Sound effects - nice
Graphics - very appealing. Clean and simple, with pleasing colors.
Gameplay - excellent. Moving the shooter is well done: right click on the destination and it plots the path itself and goes there, around as many corners as are needed.
The game is a bit short and a bit repetetive. I've only done Normal mode, will be trying the Hard mode. And the weapon powerups are kind of pointless as one of the first weapons you get is clearly the best, in terms of reload speed and destructive power. But minor flaws and all, I give this many stars. |

Stylistic tank play that falls short of compelling
I was intrigued by the screenshots of Armada Tanks and was hoping for some fun and interesting gameplay from it.
The gameplay is something like pac-man in that you control a tank that moves through cooridors laid out similarily to pac man levels. The difference comes in that your goal is to shoot other enemy tanks that are wandering around in the maze with you.
Thats pretty much the entire gameplay right there. After playing through about 10 levels of this, its clear that there is not going to much else to interest you. You can upgrade your tank with more damage, more armor, more speed, faster firing rate, and alternate weapons. But ultimately the game falls short of providing an interesting challenge.
Controlling your tank movement can also be frustrating as you have to complete each movement before changing directions. One would think you could just hold up and right to move around the corner to the right, but you have to first move right, then move up.
You might expect the enemy tanks to work in such a way as to require you to make strategic decisions in how you move about the maze or coordinate your location versus firing directions. But really they just wander around the maze very blindly and randomdly with no real coordination or sense of artificial intelligence.
Even the arcade game Tron provided a maze based tank combat scenario that was much more challenging than this game can. And that was released way back in the 1980s. The key difference is that the enemy tanks were threatening and you had to maintain careful awareness of your surroundings.
Bottom line is that Armada Tanks fails to provide the player with any sense of competancy.
The graphic and artistic style of the game was pleasant however. |

Return of the Classic NES Battle City (tank) WOW!
I got no words to say, i've been downloading and playing these nice shareware games from reflexive arcade for sometime now and they are awesome but nothing made me go "WOW" like this one, because this really awakened my memories about the early childhood nes days, when i was like 4 to 5 years old i've been playing this battle tank game on nes and i loved it, coop mode, personally for my self i think it's an awesome game, when i played armada tanks, i was like "WOOOOOOOOOW BATTLE TANK RESURRECTED" i just got no words to tell you guys if you ever liked the original NES version, this will make you cry, because it did to me, i loved it so much, i am planing to purchase it with my friends credit card coz i got no money, i am a poor fellow, but it is so good to see BATTLE TANK remake sorta, |

a lil buggy
First off I enjoyed the game but there are a few bugs to get worked out.
1.Objects falling sometimes don't show up or disappear a second later some stay the entire map(didn't matter what type of object)
2. Before map it tells you what objects or objectives you need to complete and it was wrong a few times.
3.Enemy tanks can get stuck in wall when using shovel object.
Graphics were descent for this lil game. Sound dunno I had it off so I will 5 star it lol. The controls are very well done as you can use keyboard and mouse or just mouse so anyone can easily control the tank. The enemies are a bit dumb but at times there are numerous at one time.Overall I recommend this one for anyone who likes shooting it up or wants some plain good ol fun. 4 stars overall for the bugs. |
