Simple is Best

I never even knew this game was on Reflexive until just now, I saw it though and had to write a review.

I've owned this game for a long long time and it is one of the very few that I still play.

Based on the original Space Invader but improved a thousand times over.

The controls are perfect, your ship responds to every twitch and you'll find yourself smoothly sliding yourself through rows of bullets that look like certain death.

The powerup system being tied in to your health gives you a chance to carry on even if you're playing badly (as long as you don't run out of power for them) but also the incentive to power up your weapons to give max blast power.

The graphics are really well suited for the game.
Bullets can be seen pretty clearly so you're rarely wondering what hit you.

All in all, for people that like to know they're playing a game and not just hitting buttons and hoping to do what you should, this game is one of the best EVER.

You can have your huge graphics and CD sounds.
Your 6GB games with 82 controls for each action.
I'm sticking with simple gameplay and Alien outbreak2

Kill All Them Aliens

The game is good enuf to be played. For the ones who r familiar wit the Star Defender series, this is a pretty easy game.

The basic idea is that (for new players) you are in a spaceship equipped to battle aliens in outer space (of course :)). Hold the left mouse button and kill them all.

The powerups r pretty cool, but sadly time bound. I wish the developers had given extra time for the bonuses. The best part is collecting energy nucleii to boost ur primary weapon's energy levels. And boy do the charged up weapons kick alien b***s.

A very good game for fast paced gamers. Only 80 levels feels far too small. Took me an average of around 12 mins to complete each of the 8 sets with 10 rounds each.

5 game modes are available - ranging from Very Easy to Nightmare. Pick ur choice and off u go. Lemme warn u that 12 mins was in the Very Easy mode. Nightmare sticks to its name and is recommended only for very advanced players.

Graphics 4/5
Pretty interesting graphics. The powerups n bonuses as well as the aliens hav gr8 looks. Your spaceship could be given a lil more attention tho'. Has a pretty simple design.

Sound 4/5
Sounds are pretty much the same, like you would expect for an action game. Doesnt get too boring and makes easy listening.

Gameplay 4/5
Pretty good game with toughness moderate. Enemies get tougher with progress. Should be easy pickin neway.

Overall 4/5
Pretty much liked the game. Is for one time play, but still was good enuf.

Alien Outbreak 2

I have owned this game for some time, and have played it all the way through several times. The game is always entertaining. It's the combination of graphical speed and sound effects. The sound effexts in this game are some of the best I have ever heard. I love it when the enemies go transdimensional. The effects, both graphically and aurally are stupendous. Blew me away first time I played, still does.

You'll need all the help you can get with these alien freaks so try and focus your shot on each alien ship until it explodes. If you stop shooting it at any point, it will regenerate power, making your previous shots useless.

The bosses aren't that bad (well, atleast in the Very Easy mode). Stay in their line of fire n u will be barely hurt(it'r true!!).

The normal level aliens which shoot multiple bulletscan be avoided in the same way.

Stack up ur bonuses and use them against the boss. This is very effective. Yes, you can stack on 'em. Tho' only one secondary weapon can be used. So choose wisely.

There are barely any bonuses or powerups in the boss level. Another thing to be thing be noted and kept safe in ur mind.
