A very good take on two old classics

As a fan of both mahjong and Alice in Wonderland, I just had to give this a try.
I was pleasantly surprised with the game. Though it doesn't introduce anything new, this is a very good take on an old classic.

The game's strongest point, in my opinion, is the graphics. The classical suits of tiles are replaced with Alice-themed symbols such as question marks, teacups, mushrooms and so on. There are also some special tiles, for example matching two Cheshire Cats removes all the aces from the board. This might disappoint some of the purists that prefer to play following the classical rules, but personally I like this twist. And besides, the animation that removes the tiles is very neat.

As you play you get to meet all the characters from the book and hear Alice's story. I think this game could be appealing to younger kids who only saw the Disney version of Alice. The hints system also makes gameplay easy, and if you have no moves left you can reshuffle the game board, thus avoiding the frustration of having to start over.
One minor complaint would be that while you play the characters repeat always the same sentences, and after I heard Bill the Lizard say "Little girls aren't the size of houses!" for the twelfth time I felt the urge of turning the sound off. But apart from this, the music is nice and helps to set the atmosphere.

After every cutscene you have to search for 5 hidden objects before starting the next set of levels, but even if you're not a fan of the genre if should be easy to finish this part using the hints.
The game also has a level creator, which I haven't tried yet, and hundreds of levels to play.

Overall, if you're a fan of mahjong you should definitely give this game a try.

Alice's Magical Mahjong

As a Mahjong fan, I really liked this game. It has a seek and find inbetween chapters, that are quite fun. The graphics are great. Children would like the seek and find too. It is very easy to play. The Mahjong game itself has surprises, butterflies show up and remove a lot of tiles to help you out.
I don't want to give all the surprises away. I would buy this game.

A noteworthy homage to Alice

A very nice, stylized game... I like how Alice isn't Disney-blonde, and has a very unique look about her...
I didn't care for some of the characters' voices (I had grown used to the Cheshire Cat's voice from A.M.'s Alice, so I definitely wasn't crazy about that one), but I like how they integrated a classic story into a classic tile-game... The seek-and-find puzzles between each characters' levels were a good way to break up the monotony of tile-searching, but in my opinion they were a bit few and far between...

A very good game, although it could have used a few extra between-level activities just to add a bit more variety.
