Surprisingly Addictive

I have to admit that when I looked at the screen shots and read the description this game didn't really seem appealing to me. But after reading some positive reviews I decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised and glad that I did.

There are several games combined into one here and the overall result is really fun. You plant crops, water them, harvest them, sell them at market, purchase equipment and upgrades, etc, repeat.

The biggest win for this game is the ability to queue up a seemingly infinite number of click commands. Since you have to manually click on every grid cell that you want to perform some operation with, there would normally be a lot of click, click, wait, click, click, wait. They speed up the pace and the ease of play by letting you queue up anything you want. Click on the watering can, then click on 4 crop sites, then click on the well to fill the watering can, and so on... all without having to wait for the character to finish with any of those tasks. She will carry on and proceed to execute everything you assigned. I was unable to reach any limit of queued tasks while playing through the demo for an hour. This one feature really completes this game and is a welcome thing to see when you compare the popular seek, find, and click games that make you wait for some superfluous animation to finish before you can click on the next item you spotted.

The graphics are nothing to write home about, but they are still well done and do a fine job of presenting the environment in a pleasing manor.

Sound is well executed with distinctive audible cues that play when you execute each unique operation providing good feedback to the player. Music is subtle and not annoying.

I was sad to see the one hour time limit expire and look forward to playing this game some more when I can scrounge up an extra 20 bucks.

Harvest Moon-y

Ever played Harvest Moon? This game is very much like Harvest Moon only different in growth of plants and there is very little things to do except run around and harvest your crops. It is very entertaining though and I was kind of addicted to it, wanting to own every item on the shop and wanting to get every award.
It is was fun for a while but it just gets so monotonic as you advance farther in the game. You may have gotten all the items but the gameplay is still the same. But, again I like this game ='3

Funfun

I can't say much more than what's already been mentioned. But to comment on what I which I knew before I started: Make a fake name to go through the tutorial with. I didn't like how you finish the tutorial and you continue on with the garden that you started. I made this goofy haphazard garden that didn't work efficiently, then I got the sprinklers and boom, garden didn't work well at all (the only way to put the sprinkler where i needed it was to dig up a plant and wait for grass to grow in it's place) But all in all this game is a great combination of clicking diner dash and tycoon type games.
