Interesting game, but very short

I enjoy these kind of games which are a mix of hidden object and puzzle solving. Dream Chronicles and Mortimer Beckett are two games which are better done than this one, but it is in the same spirit as those two games. The premise is that Alabama Smith (which is a little too cutesy for me. Indiana Jones, okay, but Alabama Smith? Seriously?!) is a student of archeology and one of his professors wants Alabama's help in finding a medallion which allows time travel. Alabama works his way through a series of puzzles to find the medallion, and then later he teams up with the professor's daughter Anastasia to keep the medallion from falling into the wrong hands.

This game is based on an interesting premise but the execution of the game is fairly poor. The storyline isn't great and there are quite a few typos in the text. The game is also extremely short--I was able to complete the entire game within the 60 minute time limit. The mini games, if that's really what they should be called, are pitiful, and any gamer experienced in this genre will not find anything new or challenging here. If anyone has played the newest Mystery Case Files game (Return to Ravenhearst) you will see quite a few similarities to some of those puzzles. It's obvious what needs to be done on each level and I never had to use a single hint in order to figure out what to do next, which for me is something of a rarity. In every game of this genre there has been at least one section which has stumped me, but I never ran into anything like that in this one.

I would suggest spending your $20 on the next Dream Chronicles instead (or the newest MCF game which I thought was really great) or at least trying the demo before you commit to buying this game. This game gets a solid D+

GREAT GAME

WOW great game. Good story line, fun inbetween puzzles. Pictures are a little dark but the HINTS really help. It's a seek and find and a puzzle game combined. I Like the casual play choice.
The Demo time flew by. This is one to buy. Would make a super gift too.

siiiiiiq

this game was really good considering that most of the seek and find games as of late are all exactly the same, in this you need to use items that you find to move further in the game and whatnot. at times it was a little hard but i enjoy a game that involves a little more than just looking for obviously placed objects. definitely a good download and worth the money
