Good Match 3 for the whole family

This is a solid game that is a typical match 3. There are no extra's with the exception of being able to rotate the board and the ability to shuffle the tiles. My younger kids liked it because it is not too dificult to play and the older ones liked it because it was mindless at times.

7 Wonders Treasures of Seven

I enjoyed playing the other 7 Wonders games so was excited about this one. I was somewhat disappointed for several reasons; there are no power ups to be had, the scenery was not as nice as the other games, the music was not as good ,(not "egyptian sounding" enough), and it got old real fast to have to make the "7" go into the hole at the end. It was just repetitive and boring.

Took away my popcorn button...

I played the previous iterations of the 7 Wonders trilogy and was extra excited about this one. The first one was fun and the second one added so much great stuff without ruining the basic premise. This one on the other hand took out everything that was added in the second one and added a feature that tends to be more annoying than helpful. It seemed inventive, but then lost its flavor when it became the same, not complicated or hard to figure out, puzzle. Not to mention there is hardly ever a benefit to it during the standard game. Overall the lack of content I feel got lost in the quest to get the rotating board to work correctly. In my opinion, not a good sacrifice.

In short, if you are looking for a basic match 3 and have no previous expectations, go for it. If you have played any of the previous two and understand how games are made (if made correctly, the jump from the second one to this one should NOT have lost any features and from a design perspective dropping the features is very unwise) then you will loathe this game as much as I do.

On a side note, the menus use flying cubes for everything which really looks dumb and takes a long time to show the menu. On the plus side though, the graphics didn't suffer.

The easiest match 3 i've ever played

The graphics and gameplay of this game are very slick. There's nothing more aggravating than a match 3 game with slow animations - waiting two or three seconds for a set of gems to be removed. Everything moves very quickly in this one. The sounds are satisfying, and the new rotating board is an interesting little novelty.

That being said, this game is ridiculously easy. I've played the other two 7 wonders games, and they just keep getting easier. The first one - with no power ups - could bottleneck you in a couple of levels that were almost impossible. You could only get through them with luck and a lot of lives. In the second one, the clear-a-vertical-line power up made all subsequent levels a breeze. But you could still get to levels where time became a factor, and you'd just manage to squeeze out a completed level at the last second.

In this game, the amount of time you have is absurd. I've played up through level 5-6, and i have not ONCE seen the time bar out of the first segment - meaning that i've completed every level with somewhere between 80-90% of the time still available. I'm pretty sure everyone else will experience similar results.

If you're looking for a challenge, find another game. If you want to win every level via mostly mindless clicking, this is a nice distraction for a few minutes at a time...

Doesn't Disappoint!

I have been a huge fan of the 7 Wonders games and this one is no exception! The latest in the 7 Wonders series doesn't disappoint! A fast paced match 3 with a "spin" on the regular match 3 games. Excellent sound and graphics quality! Will definitely have to add this one to my collection!
